Dealing with separation or an issue that has arisen with regards to your ongoing arrangements for the children can be a stressful and emotional time. It is Carmel belief that in most instances to it appropriate to first explore all options for resolution of the issue before going to Court, as an agreement reached between parents or the parties to a relationship that has broken down though negotiation or mediation is more likely to result in a better co-parenting arrangement or greater satisfaction in the outcome reached. Even if your matter is already in Court, in most circumstances the outcome can still be negotiated.
Carmel believes that it is important that you know where you stand in relation to your matter, so the advice that she provides is in plain English and also deals practical matters. For those who may be thinking of separating, have recently separated or who are experiencing a bump in the road in relation to parenting matters, obtaining early advice can lead to a faster resolution.
